OCTAVIAN SHORTLISTED FOR SECURITY COMPANY OF THE YEAR

Octavian Security has been shortlisted for the Security Company of the Year category at the Event Production Awards 2012, in recognition of its achievements in the sector.

Octavian's commercial director Tony Mellor said: "We started out as a small events security company, so our experience goes back a long way.

"For several years, we have worked with blue chip companies to provide security at numerous events, including the Boat Race, Glastonbury, Royal Ascot, the Ryder Cup and all other golf championships, the Samsung Womens World Hockey Championship and many more. We are also a preferred events security provider of a number of local authorities.

"It's a chance for us to be recognised for our work providing security at such events, and for people across that industry to see what we can do for them."

The company's experience, range of services and ability to adapt to requirements at short notice has made it a leading choice for security at events like the British Superbike Championship at Cadwell Park, cited in its nomination for the award.

Octavian will find out if it has won the Security Company of the Year award at a ceremony at the Olympia Exhibition Theatre in London on Wednesday 1 February 2012.
